Saphenous Vein–Preserving Inguinal Lymph Node Dissection: A Stepwise Technical Approach
Elise Lupon, Ioana Ivan, Olivier Camuzard, Dimitri Gangloff

TL;DR
This paper introduces a technique to preserve the saphenous vein during lymph node dissection, reducing complications while ensuring cancer clearance.
Contribution
A novel stepwise surgical technique for preserving the saphenous vein during inguinal lymph node dissection is proposed.
Findings
Preserving the saphenous vein maintains venous outflow and skin drainage.
Medial-to-lateral dissection allows vein preservation and oncologic clearance.
The technique is easily reproducible and integrates into conservative surgical strategies.
Abstract
Preserving the great saphenous vein during inguinal lymph node dissection maintains venous outflow and skin drainage while allowing complete oncologic clearance.
