TL;DR
This study explores what clients and caregivers consider important for successful depression treatment, identifying key factors like therapeutic alliance and treatment organization.
Contribution
The study introduces a novel approach using concept mapping to integrate client and caregiver perspectives into understanding treatment success for depression.
Findings
Participants identified 10 clusters of factors important for successful depression treatment.
Therapeutic alliance was seen as more clinician-driven than client-driven.
Treatment organization, elements, and guideline adherence formed a core concept for success.
