Abstract
Negative pressure wound therapy with instillation is increasingly used to treat various wounds. However, there is limited information about its impact on patient experiences. This study aims to explore the experiences of hospitalised patients undergoing negative pressure wound therapy with instillation for different types of wounds and to explore their expectations regarding continuing treatment at home. We conducted a qualitative study using semi‐structured interviews. 12 patients treated with negative pressure wound therapy with instillation across various hospitals in the Netherlands were interviewed between January 2024 and June 2024. Data were analysed using Braun and Clarke's reflexive thematic analysis.
