Treatment of the singularities of the Stermheimer function for a layered electron gas
D. E. Beck

TL;DR
This paper develops a method to isolate and incorporate singularities in the Stermheimer function's Green's function solution for a layered electron gas, improving the accuracy of the model.
Contribution
It introduces a technique to explicitly handle singularities in the Stermheimer function, enhancing the precision of solutions for layered electron gases.
Findings
Exact contributions from singularities are incorporated into approximate solutions.
The method improves the accuracy of Green's function calculations for layered electron gases.
The approach facilitates better understanding of electron interactions in layered structures.
Abstract
Isolating the singularity in the Green's function solution of the inhomogeneous, differential equation for the Stermheimer function of a layered electron gas, permits the construction of an approximate solution of the Stermheimer function which includes the exact contributions from its singularities.
