Condition for the adiabatic approximation
Ming-Yong Ye, Xiang-Fa Zhou, Yong-Sheng Zhang, Guang-Can Guo

TL;DR
This paper provides a quantitative condition to determine when the quantum adiabatic approximation is valid, helping to estimate errors and clarify the sufficiency of traditional conditions.
Contribution
It introduces a new sufficient condition for the quantum adiabatic approximation, enabling more accurate error estimation and analysis of traditional criteria.
Findings
The new condition quantitatively estimates adiabatic approximation errors.
Traditional conditions are sufficient under specific scenarios.
The approach improves understanding of adiabatic approximation validity.
Abstract
We give a sufficient condition for the quantum adiabatic approximation, which is quantitative and can be used to estimate error caused by this approximation. We also discuss when the traditional condition is sufficient.
