Embedding into Banach spaces with finite dimensional decompositions
E. Odell, Th. Schlumprecht

TL;DR
This paper investigates the conditions under which Banach spaces with certain properties can be embedded into spaces with finite dimensional decompositions, and explores the existence of universal spaces within classes of Banach spaces.
Contribution
It introduces new results on embedding Banach spaces with property (P) into spaces with finite dimensional decompositions and examines the existence of universal Banach spaces for specific classes.
Findings
Established criteria for embedding spaces with property (P)
Identified conditions for the existence of universal Banach spaces
Extended understanding of finite dimensional decompositions in Banach space theory
Abstract
This paper deals with the following types of problems: Assume a Banach space has some property (P). Can it be embedded into some Banach space with a finite dimensional decomposition having property (P), or more generally, having a property related to (P)? Secondly, given a class of Banach spaces, does there exist a Banach space in this class, or in a closely related one, which is universal for this class?
