A conjecture of Yves Andre
Andrei Yafaev

TL;DR
This paper proves, under the assumption of the Generalised Riemann Hypothesis, that certain curves in Shimura varieties containing infinitely many special points are of Hodge type.
Contribution
It confirms Yves Andre's conjecture regarding the nature of curves with infinitely many special points in Shimura varieties, assuming GRH.
Findings
Proves Andre's conjecture assuming GRH
Establishes a link between special points and Hodge type curves
Advances understanding of Shimura varieties and special points
Abstract
In this paper we prove, assuming the Generalised Riemann Hypothesis, a conjecture of Yves Andre that that asserts that a curve in a Shimura variety containing an infinite set of special points is of Hodge type.
