Gerhard Rein

TL;DR
This paper proves the existence of static, spherically symmetric shell solutions with vacuum centers for the Vlasov-Poisson and Vlasov-Einstein systems, advancing understanding of such configurations in stellar dynamics.
Contribution
It introduces new static shell solutions with vacuum centers for both Vlasov-Poisson and Vlasov-Einstein systems, expanding the class of known equilibrium states.
Findings
Existence of static shell solutions with vacuum centers
Solutions are spherically symmetric and finite in support
Applicable to both Vlasov-Poisson and Vlasov-Einstein systems
Abstract
We prove the existence of static, spherically symmetric solutions of the stellar dynamic Vlasov-Poisson and Vlasov-Einstein systems, which have the property that their spatial support is a finite, spherically symmetric shell with a vacuum region at the center.
