TL;DR
This paper demonstrates the presence of first-order temperature-driven phase transitions in certain generalized XY models and explores their connection to annealed site-diluted continuous-spin models.
Contribution
It reveals first-order transitions in generalized XY models and links them to annealed site-diluted models, expanding understanding of phase transition types.
Findings
First-order transitions occur in specific generalized XY models.
Connection established between XY models and annealed site-diluted models.
Highlights the role of model generalizations in phase transition behavior.
Abstract
In this note we demonstrate the occurrence of first-order transitions in temperature for some recently introduced generalized XY models, and also point out the connection between them and annealed site-diluted (lattice-gas) continuous-spin models.
