Derivation of the Gross-Pitaevskii Hierarchy
Benjamin Schlein

TL;DR
This paper discusses recent mathematical results on the dynamics of large trapped Bose-Einstein condensates, focusing on the derivation of the Gross-Pitaevskii hierarchy, a key model in quantum many-body physics.
Contribution
It provides new rigorous derivations of the Gross-Pitaevskii hierarchy from many-body quantum dynamics for large particle numbers.
Findings
Established the derivation of the Gross-Pitaevskii hierarchy
Analyzed the dynamical behavior of Bose-Einstein condensates
Connected microscopic quantum models to effective macroscopic equations
Abstract
We report on some recent results regarding the dynamical behavior of a trapped Bose-Einstein condensate, in the limit of a large number of particles. These results were obtained in \cite{ESY}, a joint work with L. Erd\H os and H.-T. Yau.
