On local boundary CFT and non-local CFT on the boundary
K.-H. Rehren

TL;DR
This paper reviews the holographic relationship between local boundary conformal field theories and their non-local boundary restrictions, and constructs non-vacuum BCFTs, confirming previous conjectures.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive review of the holographic relation and explicitly constructs non-vacuum BCFTs, advancing understanding of boundary CFTs.
Findings
Confirmed the existence of non-vacuum BCFTs
Established the holographic relation between local and non-local boundary CFTs
Constructed explicit examples of non-vacuum BCFTs
Abstract
The holographic relation between local boundary conformal quantum field theories (BCFT) and their non-local boundary restrictions is reviewed, and non-vacuum BCFT's, whose existence was conjectured previously, are constructed.
