Yu. P. Virchenko (1), N. N. Vitokhina (1) ((1) Belgorod State, University, Russia)

TL;DR
This paper analyzes the Mandel probability distribution for photocounts in one-mode stochastic radiation, providing accurate approximations for n-photon registration probabilities under short registration times.
Contribution
It introduces new approximations for photocount probabilities with guaranteed accuracy in the context of one-mode stochastic radiation.
Findings
Derived accurate approximations for n-photon registration probabilities.
Analyzed the behavior of the Mandel distribution in the short-time registration regime.
Provided theoretical insights into photocount statistics for stochastic radiation.
Abstract
The Mandel probability distribution of one-mode stochastic radiation photocounts is analized. Approximations of n-photon registration probabilities with guaranteed accuracy are obtained in the case when the registration time is sufficiently small.
