Enhanced binding revisited for a spinless particle in non-relativistic QED
Isabelle Catto, Pavel Exner, Christian Hainzl

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that a spinless particle coupled to a quantized Bose field has a ground state even with weak short-range potentials that do not support zero-energy resonances.
Contribution
It revisits enhanced binding phenomena in non-relativistic QED, establishing ground state existence under weaker potential conditions than previously known.
Findings
Ground state exists for certain weak short-range potentials.
Zero-energy resonance is not necessary for binding.
Results extend understanding of binding in non-relativistic QED.
Abstract
We consider a spinless particle coupled to a quantized Bose field and show that such a system has a ground state for two classes of short-range potentials which are alone too weak to have a zero-energy resonance.
