Dynamics of granular gases
Gianfranco Capriz, George Mullenger

TL;DR
This paper develops a comprehensive theoretical framework for understanding the dynamics of granular gases, including new balance equations and explicit analysis of special flow cases.
Contribution
It introduces a complete theory with a novel balance equation involving a stirring tensor for granular gases.
Findings
Derivation of a new balance equation involving a stirring tensor
Explicit discussion of special flow cases
Advancement in theoretical modeling of granular gas dynamics
Abstract
A complete theory for the dynamics of granular gases is presented. A balance equation involving a stirring tensor and ruling the evolution of Reynold's tensor accrues in addition to the continuity equation and the standard Cauchy's balance. Special flows are discussed explicitly.
