Wigner-Eckart Theorem in the crystal and the organisation of the genetic code
A. Sciarrino

TL;DR
This paper applies the Wigner-Eckart theorem within the crystal basis model to mathematically describe the organization of the genetic code and translation errors, emphasizing the grouping of codons encoding the same amino acid.
Contribution
It introduces a novel mathematical framework using the Wigner-Eckart theorem to explain the structure and error resilience of the genetic code.
Findings
Genetic code organization explained through crystal basis model
Translation errors modeled by mathematical operators
Codons prone to misreading encode the same amino acid
Abstract
Modelising the translation errors by suitable mathematical operators in the crystal basis model of the genetic code and requiring that codons prone to be misread encode the same amino-acid, the main features of the organisation in multiplets of the genetic code are described.
