On the mean value of the energy for resonant states
O. Civitarese, M. Gadella, R. Id Betan

TL;DR
This paper explores how to define and interpret the average energy of resonant (Gamow) states, using rigged Hilbert space formalism to address mathematical and physical challenges.
Contribution
It reviews and advances the formalism for calculating the mean energy of Gamow resonances, integrating rigged Hilbert space techniques.
Findings
Clarifies definitions of mean energy for resonant states
Uses rigged Hilbert space to handle mathematical issues
Provides insights into physical interpretation of resonances
Abstract
In this work we discuss possible definitions of the mean value of the energy for a resonant (Gamow) state. The mathematical and physical aspects of the formalism are reviewed. The concept of rigged Hilbert space is used as a supportive tool in dealing with Gamow-resonances.
