Intersecting Branes and Generalized Vortices
Takao Suyama

TL;DR
This paper develops an effective theory for intersecting branes, explores generalized vortex monopoles, and interprets these solutions as D0-branes on brane intersections, advancing understanding of brane dynamics.
Contribution
It introduces a generalized vortex monopole solution in the context of intersecting branes and interprets these as D0-branes, extending previous models.
Findings
Constructed the effective theory for intersecting branes.
Identified generalized vortex monopoles as solutions.
Interpreted monopoles as D0-branes on intersections.
Abstract
We construct the effective theory of intersecting branes and investigate the BPS monopoles in the theory. The monopoles obtained are the generalization of Nielsen-Olesen vortex. We study the properties of the solutions and interpret them as the D0-branes on the brane-intersections.
