Nathan Berkovits, Carlos Tello Echevarria (IFT/UNESP, Sao Paulo)

TL;DR
This paper computes the four-point tree amplitude in open superstring field theory, confirming its consistency with first-quantized results and addressing divergence issues in the action.
Contribution
It introduces a divergence-free superstring field theory action and verifies its four-point amplitude matches established first-quantized calculations.
Findings
Amplitude agrees with first-quantized prescription
Action avoids contact term divergences
Validates the superstring field theory approach
Abstract
An open superstring field theory action has been proposed which does not suffer from contact term divergences. In this paper, we compute the on-shell four-point tree amplitude from this action using the Giddings map. After including contributions from the quartic term in the action, the resulting amplitude agrees with the first-quantized prescription.
