A.R.Lugo, E.F.Moreno, F.A.Schaposnik

TL;DR
This paper explores monopole solutions in anti-de Sitter space within an SU(2)-Higgs framework, analyzing how gravity and the cosmological constant influence their stability through new analytic and numerical findings.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed analysis of monopoles in AdS space, including their gravitational stability and dependence on the cosmological constant.
Findings
Monopole solutions exist in AdS space with gravity.
Gravitational instability varies with the cosmological constant.
New analytic and numerical results characterize monopole behavior.
Abstract
We find monopole solutions for a spontaneously broken SU(2)-Higgs system coupled to gravity in asymptotically anti-de Sitter space. We present new analytic and numerical results discussing,in particular, how the gravitational instability of self-gravitating monopoles depends on the value of the cosmological constant.
