TL;DR
This paper reviews the role of calibrations and generalized calibrations in supersymmetric M-brane configurations, focusing on their applications to domain walls and junctions in four-dimensional N=1 supersymmetric field theories.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive review of how calibrations relate to M-branes and their significance in supersymmetric field theory configurations.
Findings
Calibrations are essential for understanding supersymmetric M-brane configurations.
Generalized calibrations extend the concept to more complex brane setups.
Applications include domain walls and junctions in D=4 N=1 theories.
Abstract
The relevance of calibrations, and `generalized' calibrations, to supersymmetric M-brane configurations, and their associated field theories, is reviewed, with emphasis on applications to domain walls and domain wall junctions of D=4 N=1 supersymmetric field theories.
