Morse potential energy spectra through the variational method and supersymmetry
Elso Drigo Filho, Regina Maria Ricotta

TL;DR
This paper combines the Variational Method and Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics to analyze the Morse potential, providing improved estimates of energy levels and eigenfunctions for diatomic molecules.
Contribution
It introduces a novel approach integrating variational techniques with supersymmetry to study molecular potentials, enhancing accuracy over traditional methods.
Findings
Accurate energy spectra for diatomic molecules using the combined method.
Comparison shows improved results over conventional approaches.
Method applicable to other quantum systems with similar potentials.
Abstract
The Variational Method is applied within the context of Supersymmetric Quantum Mechanics to provide information about the energy and eigenfunction of the lowest levels of a Hamiltonian. The approach is illustrated by the case of the Morse potential applied to several diatomic molecules and the results are compared with stablished results.
