On possibility of Decoherence due to Relativistic Effect
B. Carazza

TL;DR
This paper investigates whether relativistic corrections to kinetic energy can cause decoherence in the total momentum of free particles when considering their relative momenta.
Contribution
It introduces the idea that relativistic effects may induce decoherence in quantum systems of free particles, a novel perspective in quantum mechanics and relativity.
Findings
Relativistic corrections can lead to decoherence in total momentum.
Decoherence arises when tracing over relative momenta with relativistic kinetic energy.
The study suggests a link between relativity and quantum decoherence mechanisms.
Abstract
This note looks at the possibility of a system of free particles presenting decoherence in the total momentum when tracing upon their relative momenta if we take into account a relativistic correction to the expression of the kinetic energy.
