AdS$_2$/CFT$_1$ correspondence and near-extremal black hole entropy
J.Navarro-Salas, P.Navarro

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates the AdS$_2$/CFT$_1$ correspondence in near-extremal black holes, showing that asymptotic symmetries account for entropy deviations from extremality, with implications for broader classes of black holes.
Contribution
It provides a concrete realization of AdS$_2$/CFT$_1$ in near-extremal black holes and connects asymptotic symmetries with entropy calculations.
Findings
Cardy's formula matches entropy deviations from extremality.
Asymptotic symmetries explain near-extremal entropy.
Results suggest extension to more general black holes.
Abstract
We provide a realization of the AdS/CFT correspondence in terms of asymptotic symmetries of the AdSS and AdSS geometries arising in near-extremal BTZ and Reissner-Nordstr\"om black holes. Cardy's formula exactly accounts for the deviation of the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy from extremality. We also argue that this result can be extended to more general black holes near extremality.
