Gauge Field Theories on a Transverse Lattice
Matthias Burkardt (New Mexico State University)

TL;DR
This paper discusses the transverse lattice approach in light-front QCD to manage divergences, highlighting the color-dielectric formulation as a practical solution due to technical challenges.
Contribution
It introduces the transverse lattice method and advocates for the color-dielectric formulation to address divergence issues in light-front QCD.
Findings
Transverse lattice effectively controls $k^+ o 0$ divergences.
Color-dielectric formulation simplifies the lattice approach.
Addresses technical difficulties in canonical formulations.
Abstract
In these notes, the transverse () lattice approach is presented as a means to control the divergences in light-front QCD. Technical difficulties of both the canonical compact formulation as well as the non-compact formulation of the lattice motivate the color-dielectric formulation, where the link fields are linearized.
