T-duality and The Gravitational Description Of Gauge Theories
Cesar Gomez, Pedro J. Silva

TL;DR
This paper reviews the connection between supergravity and gauge theories, focusing on T-duality and supersymmetry, and presents new insights into how T-duality affects near horizon geometries.
Contribution
It introduces new results on the interplay between T-duality and near horizon geometries in the context of gauge theories and supergravity.
Findings
T-duality relates different supergravity backgrounds.
Supersymmetry is preserved under certain T-duality transformations.
New results on the impact of T-duality on near horizon geometries.
Abstract
This is a review of some basic features on the relation between supergravity and pure gauge theories with special emphasis on the relation between T-duality and supersymmetry. Some new results concerning the interplay between T-duality and near horizon geometries are presented
