TL;DR
This paper investigates the solutions of Bethe equations in the XXZ spin chain, identifying exceptions to the string hypothesis and providing counts for real and complex solutions for completeness.
Contribution
It precisely counts solutions and identifies violations of the string hypothesis in the XXZ model, advancing understanding of its solution structure.
Findings
Exact number of solutions in the two-particle sector
Identification of violations to the string hypothesis
Total solutions necessary for model completeness
Abstract
In this paper we count the numbers of real and complex solutions to Bethe constraints in the two particle sector of the XXZ model. We find exact number of exceptions to the string conjecture and total number of solutions which is required for completeness.
