Conformality from Field-String Duality on Abelian Orbifolds
Paul H. Frampton

TL;DR
This paper investigates abelian orbifolds with discrete symmetry Z_p for p ≤ 7, identifying the simplest conformal theory that predicts electroweak unification and estimating the conformal scale near 10 TeV.
Contribution
It systematically analyzes abelian orbifolds to find the minimal conformal theory consistent with the Standard Model.
Findings
Identifies SU(3)^7 as the simplest conformal orbifold theory.
Predicts electroweak mixing angle sin^2 θ ≈ 0.231.
Estimates conformal scale M near 10 TeV.
Abstract
If the standard model is embedded in a conformal theory, what is the simplest possibility? We analyse all abelian orbifolds for discrete symmetry with , and find that the simplest such theory is indeed . Such a theory predicts the correct electroweak unification (sin). A color coupling suggests a conformal scale near to 10 TeV.
