Wataru Souma

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates the existence of a non-trivial ultraviolet fixed point in quantum gravity across dimensions 2 to 4, supporting the idea that quantum gravity could be asymptotically safe and renormalizable.
Contribution
It provides a non-perturbative calculation of the ultraviolet fixed point in quantum gravity using the exact renormalization group equation across multiple dimensions.
Findings
Ultraviolet non-Gaussian fixed point persists in 4D.
Supports asymptotic safety of quantum gravity.
Fixed point exists in dimensions between 2 and 4.
Abstract
The non-trivial ultraviolet fixed point in quantum gravity is calculated by means of the exact renormalization group equation in d-dimensions . It is shown that the ultraviolet non-Gaussian fixed point which is expected from the perturbatively -expanded calculations in gravity theory remains in d=4. Hence it is possible that quantum gravity is an asymptotically safe theory and renormalizable in 2<d.
