V. Azcoiti, A. Galante

TL;DR
This paper extends the Vafa-Witten theorem to certain gauge theories with non-positive measures, including QCD with a theta-vacuum, under broad assumptions.
Contribution
It generalizes the Vafa-Witten theorem to encompass gauge theories with non-positive measures, broadening its applicability.
Findings
Vafa-Witten theorem applies to a wider class of gauge theories
Extension includes QCD with theta-vacuum terms
Theoretical framework under broad assumptions
Abstract
Under very general assumptions we show that Vafa-Witten theorem on vector symmetries in vector-like theories can be extended to some physically relevant gauge theories with non-positive definite integration measure as QCD with a theta-vacuum term.
