SO(8) and G_2 X G_2 N=1 Supergravities in D=6
R. Holman, T.W. Kephart

TL;DR
This paper constructs N=1 supergravity models in six dimensions, including an SO(8) theory from 10D compactification and eleven G_2×G_2 theories, exploring their origins and matter content.
Contribution
It introduces new supergravity models in six dimensions, linking them to higher-dimensional theories and analyzing their matter content and origins.
Findings
Constructed the SO(8) supergravity from 10D compactification.
Identified eleven G_2×G_2 supergravity theories, two with symmetric matter.
Explored the possible origins of these theories from 10D superstring theories.
Abstract
We construct the N=1 supergravity analog of the Green-Schwarz and heterotic superstring theories in 10D. We find the SO(8) theory previously found by compactification of 10D on . We also find eleven theories, two with symmetric matter content. It is not obvious how ten of the theories can be gotten from 10D.
