Improved heavy quark potential at finite temperature from anti-de Sitter supergravity
Satchidananda Naik

TL;DR
This paper enhances the calculation of the heavy quark potential at finite temperature within the AdS/CFT framework by incorporating quantum fluctuations, leading to a universal correction term.
Contribution
It introduces a novel method of including quantum fluctuations of the radial coordinate in AdS/CFT to refine the heavy quark potential calculation.
Findings
Derived a universal Lüscher-Symanzik-Weisz correction term.
Improved the accuracy of the heavy quark potential at finite temperature.
Extended the AdS/CFT approach with quantum fluctuation analysis.
Abstract
We improve the heavy quark potential, extracted from the Wilson loop average in the Ads/CFT approach by taking the quantum fluctuation of the only radial coordinate of which is transverse to the world-sheet of the classical Nambu-Goto string in the static gauge, and obtain the universal L{\"u}scher-Symanzik-Weisz/L{\"u}scher term.
