Duality of Super D-brane Actions in General Type IIB Supergravity Background
Tadahiko Kimura, Ichiro Oda

TL;DR
This paper investigates how duality transformations affect supersymmetric Dp-brane actions in a general type IIB supergravity background with non-constant dilaton and axion, revealing their transformation as doublets under SL(2,R).
Contribution
It demonstrates the explicit transformation properties of the dilaton, axion, and gauge potentials under SL(2,R) in a non-trivial supergravity background, extending previous understanding.
Findings
Dilaton and axion transform as doublets under SL(2,R).
Two 2-form gauge potentials also form doublets under the duality.
Explicit duality transformation rules are derived for non-constant superfields.
Abstract
We examine duality transformations of supersymmetric and -symmetric Dp-brane actions in a general type II supergravity background where in particular the dilaton and the axion are supposed to not be zero or a constant but a general superfield. Due to non-constant dilaton and axion, we can explicitly show that the dilaton and the axion as well as the two 2-form gauge potentials transform as doublets under the transformation from the point of view of the world-volume field theory.
