TL;DR
This paper investigates Type 0B D3-branes at conical singularities, analyzing their non-supersymmetric gauge theories and dual gravity descriptions, revealing confinement and IR fixed points.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of non-supersymmetric gauge theories from Type 0B branes at singularities and explores their gravity duals, including confinement and IR fixed points.
Findings
Logarithmic running of gauge coupling in UV
Confining solutions in IR
Existence of IR fixed points
Abstract
We consider Type 0B D3-branes placed at conical singularities and analyze in detail the conifold singularity. We study the non supersymmetric gauge theories on their worldvolume and their conjectured dual gravity descriptions. In the ultraviolet the solutions exhibit a logarithmic running of the gauge coupling. In the infrared we find confining solutions and IR fixed points.
