TL;DR
This paper explores the existence and classification of topological solitons on Dp branes, detailing their charges and how they can be constructed from intersecting branes, expanding understanding of brane gauge configurations.
Contribution
It provides an exhaustive list of possible soliton charges for Dp branes with p<7 and discusses their construction via intersecting branes, offering new insights into brane gauge theories.
Findings
Classified all possible soliton charges for p<7.
Described construction methods from intersecting branes.
Enhanced understanding of gauge field configurations on Dp branes.
Abstract
We examine the possibility that gauge field configurations on stacks of parallel Dp branes support topological solitons. We give an exhaustive list of possible soliton charges for p<7. We also discuss how configurations carrying the soliton charges can be constructed from intersecting branes.
