TL;DR
This paper investigates specific classical solutions in N=4 super Yang-Mills theories that preserve a quarter of the supersymmetry, deriving formulas for their mass, charge, and zero modes based on the monopole moduli space.
Contribution
It provides explicit expressions for mass and charge of 1/4-BPS states and introduces a method to count their bosonic zero modes using the monopole moduli space.
Findings
Derived formulas for mass and electric charge of 1/4-BPS states.
Established a method to determine the number of bosonic zero modes.
Linked physical properties to the geometry of the monopole moduli space.
Abstract
We study classical solutions of N=4 super Yang-Mills theories that are invariant under 1/4 of the supersymmetry generators. Expressions for the mass and electric charge of the configurations are derived as functions on the monopole moduli space. These functions also provide a method of determining the number of normalisable bosonic zero modes.
