Dongsu Bak, Koji Hashimoto, Bum-Hoon Lee, Hyunsoo Min, and Naoki, Sasakura

TL;DR
This paper compares the zero modes of multi-pronged strings in super-Yang-Mills theory and IIB string theory, finding agreement for fermionic modes but discrepancies for bosonic modes, and discusses potential reasons.
Contribution
It provides a detailed counting of zero modes in super-Yang-Mills theory and compares them with string theory results, highlighting areas of agreement and discrepancy.
Findings
Fermionic zero modes agree between theories.
Bosonic zero modes show discrepancies.
Discussion on possible origins of the mismatch.
Abstract
The numbers of bosonic and fermionic zero modes of multi-pronged strings are counted in super-Yang-Mills theory and compared with those of the IIB string theory. We obtain a nice agreement for the fermionic zero modes, while our result for the bosonic zero modes differs from that obtained in the IIB string theory. The possible origin of the discrepancy is discussed
