Spacetime Duality and Two-dimensional Gauge Field Theory
A.Smailagic, E.Spallucci

TL;DR
This paper explores a novel spacetime duality approach to dualize a 2D Abelian gauge theory, revealing a broader class of dual theories beyond traditional p-duality, with implications for understanding gauge field dualities.
Contribution
It introduces a new spacetime duality method to dualize 2D Abelian gauge theories, expanding the scope of duality beyond p-duality transformations.
Findings
Spacetime duality can be applied to 2D Abelian gauge theories.
The dual theories obtained are not related by p-duality.
This approach broadens the understanding of gauge theory dualities.
Abstract
In this letter we implement a recently proposed {\it spacetime duality} approach to dualize a two dimensional, Abelian, gauge field theory, which has no dual version under --duality. Our result suggests that spacetime duality spans a new, wider, class of dual theories, which cannot be related one to another by --duality transformations.
