Shibaji Roy (Saha Institute)

TL;DR
This paper constructs explicit dyonic solutions in string theory compactified on T^6, demonstrating S-duality symmetry and analyzing their charge spectrum, mass, and stability within an SL(2,R) invariant framework.
Contribution
It explicitly formulates dyonic solutions in string theory with manifest SL(2,R) invariance, linking Kaluza-Klein and H-monopoles through S-duality.
Findings
Constructed explicit dyonic solutions with SL(2,R) symmetry.
Analyzed the Schwarz-Sen charge spectrum and BPS mass formula.
Discussed the stability of the dyonic states.
Abstract
Kaluza-Klein monopole and H-monopole solutions, which are T-dual to each other, are the well-known solutions of string theory compactified on . Since string theory in this case has an S-duality symmetry, we explicitly construct the corresponding dyonic solutions by expressing the string effective action in a manifestly invariant form with an invariant constraint. The Schwarz-Sen charge spectrum, the BPS saturated mass formula as well as the stability of these states are discussed briefly.
