Correlation functions of the global E8 symmetry currents in the Heterotic 5-brane theory
Morten Krogh

TL;DR
This paper computes the correlation functions of E8 symmetry currents in a 6D superconformal theory arising from a heterotic 5-brane, using three different theoretical approaches to validate the results.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive calculation of E8 current correlators in various dimensions using field theory, supergravity, and F-theory, demonstrating their consistency.
Findings
Correlators computed in 6D and 4D match across methods.
Validation of superconformal symmetry through multiple theoretical frameworks.
Insights into the structure of E8 symmetry in heterotic 5-brane theories.
Abstract
We consider the 5-brane placed at one end of the world in the Heterotic theory. The low energy theory is a 6 dimensional superconformal theory with as a global symmetry. We calculate the two-point correlator of the current in 6 dimensions and in 4 dimensions after compactification on . This correlator is derived in 3 different ways: From field theory, from 11 dimensional supergravity and from F-theory.
