Three Dimensional SCFT from M2 Branes at Conifold Singularities
Kyungho Oh, Radu Tatar

TL;DR
This paper explores the correspondence between M2 branes at conifold singularities and three-dimensional superconformal field theories, specifically analyzing M theory on $AdS_4 imes Q^{1,1,1}$ and its dual SCFT.
Contribution
It proposes a specific 3D superconformal field theory dual to M theory on $AdS_4 imes Q^{1,1,1}$, extending the AdS/CFT correspondence to this class of singularities.
Findings
M theory on $AdS_4 imes Q^{1,1,1}$ can be described by a 3D SCFT.
The duality preserves three-dimensional self-mirror symmetry.
The analysis supports the conjecture relating branes at singularities to string/M theory backgrounds.
Abstract
Recently it was conjectured that parallel branes at conical singularities are related to string/M theory on where is an Einstein manifold. In this paper we consider coincident M2 branes near a conifold singularity when M theory is compactified on where is a seven dimensional Sasaki-Einstein manifold. We argue that M theory on can be described in terms of a three dimensional superconformal field theory. We use the fact that the three dimensional self-mirror duality is preserved by exact marginal operators, as observed by Strassler.
