TL;DR
This paper demonstrates a specific correspondence between D3-branes compactified on a particular space and four-dimensional black hole solutions, establishing a concrete link in string theory.
Contribution
It provides an explicit example of the D-brane and black hole correspondence using boundary state descriptions and supergravity solutions.
Findings
D3-brane compactified on T^6/Z_3 corresponds to a four-dimensional extremal black hole.
Boundary state description matches supergravity black hole solutions.
Establishes a concrete example of D-brane/black hole duality.
Abstract
We explore the connection between D-branes and black holes in one particular case: a -brane compactified to four dimensions on . Using the -brane boundary state description we show the equivalence with a double extremal N=2 black hole solution of four dimensional supergravity.
