Ricardo Amorim, Nelson R.F. Braga, Marc Henneaux

TL;DR
This paper develops a method to compute anomalies in global currents within the BV formalism by introducing compensating fields, demonstrated explicitly for the axial current in QCD.
Contribution
It presents a novel approach to calculating anomalies using compensating fields in the antifield formalism, applicable to various global transformations.
Findings
Explicit calculation of axial current anomaly in QCD
General method for anomalies in the BV formalism
Applicable to any global transformation
Abstract
We compute the anomalous divergence of currents associated with global transformations in the antifield formalism, by introducing compensating fields that gauge these transformations. We consider the explicit case of the global axial current in QCD but the method applies to any global transformation of the fields.
