On zero modes of the eleven dimensional superstring
A.A. Deriglazov, D.M. Gitman

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the on-shell degrees of freedom of the D=11 superstring do not affect its quantum spectrum, which matches that of the D=10 type IIA superstring, clarifying the role of zero modes.
Contribution
It shows that the recently identified on-shell degrees of freedom in D=11 superstring do not contribute to the quantum spectrum, aligning it with the D=10 type IIA superstring spectrum.
Findings
On-shell degrees of freedom do not contribute to the spectrum.
D=11 superstring spectrum matches D=10 type IIA spectrum.
Zero modes do not alter the quantum states.
Abstract
It is shown that recently pointed out by Berkovits on-shell degrees of freedom of the D=11 superstring do not make contributions into the quantum states spectrum of the theory. As a consequence, the spectrum coincides with that of the D=10 type IIA superstring.
