BPS black holes, supersymmetry and orbits of exceptional groups
S. Ferrara

TL;DR
This paper classifies BPS black holes based on duality invariants and relates their supersymmetry preservation to the orbits of exceptional groups in different dimensions.
Contribution
It introduces duality invariant constraints for classifying BPS black holes and connects this to the structure of exceptional group orbits.
Findings
Classification of BPS black holes by supersymmetry fractions
Relation of black hole orbits to exceptional groups $E_{6(6)}$, $E_{7(7)}$
Insights into duality invariants in supergravity theories
Abstract
We report on duality invariant constraints, which allow a classification of BPS black holes preserving different fractions of supersymmetry. We then relate this analysis to the orbits of the exceptional groups , relevant for black holes in five and four dimensions.
