V.R. Khalilov, Choon-Lin Ho

TL;DR
This paper derives exact solutions for the Dirac equation in a 2+1 dimensional Coulomb field, analyzes the critical charge, and provides insights into relativistic quantum behavior in lower dimensions.
Contribution
It presents the first exact solutions of the Dirac equation in 2+1 dimensions with Coulomb potential and determines the critical charge for such a system.
Findings
Exact solutions of the Dirac equation in 2+1 dimensions obtained.
Equation for the critical Coulomb charge derived and solved.
Insights into relativistic effects in lower-dimensional quantum systems.
Abstract
Exact solutions of Dirac equation in two spatial dimensions in the Coulomb field are obtained. Equation which determines the so-called critical charge of the Coulomb field is derived and solved for a simple model.
