Aspects of D-Instantons
Michael Gutperle (Princeton University)

TL;DR
This paper reviews the role of D-instantons in ten-dimensional IIB superstring theory, covering supergravity solutions, effective interactions, duality invariants, and connections to eleven-dimensional supergravity calculations.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive overview of D-instanton effects, including new insights into their effective interactions and duality properties in IIB superstring theory.
Findings
Supergravity instanton solutions are characterized.
Instanton-induced effective interaction vertices are analyzed.
Connections to one-loop calculations in eleven-dimensional supergravity are discussed.
Abstract
An overview over effects of D-instantons in ten dimensional IIB superstring theory is given, including the supergravity instanton solution, instanton induced effective interaction vertices, the conjectured invariant completion of such terms and the connection of such terms to a one loop calculation in eleven dimensional supergravity.
