U-Duality and BPS Spectrum of Super Yang-Mills Theory and M-Theory
C.M. Hull

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that the BPS spectrum of Super-Yang-Mills theory on certain manifolds aligns with U-duality groups of M-theory, revealing new dualities and branes, and extending the matrix theory framework.
Contribution
It shows that the BPS spectrum fits into larger U-duality groups than previously thought, incorporating generalized Nahm transformations and revealing new M-branes.
Findings
BPS spectrum aligns with U-duality of M-theory on T^{d+1}
Identification of new M-branes and dualities
Application to matrix theory models
Abstract
It is shown that the BPS spectrum of Super-Yang-Mills theory on , which fits into representations of the U-duality group for M-theory compactified on , in accordance with the matrix-theory conjecture, in fact fits into representations of the U-duality group for M-theory on , the extra dualities realised as generalised Nahm transformations. The spectrum of BPS M-branes is analysed, new branes are discussed and matrix theory applications described.
