Generation of a QCD-induced Chern-Simons like term in QED
D.Ebert, V.Ch.Zhukovsky

TL;DR
This paper explores the theoretical possibility that quark loops in a non-abelian background field could generate Chern-Simons-like terms in the QED Lagrangian, linking QCD and QED phenomena.
Contribution
It proposes a mechanism for generating Chern-Simons-like terms in QED through quark loop interactions with a non-abelian SU(2) background field.
Findings
Theoretical discussion of Chern-Simons term generation in QED.
Potential link between QCD background fields and QED modifications.
Abstract
A possibility is discussed that new nontrivial Chern-Simons like terms may be generated in (3+1)--dimensional QED Lagrangian, when induced by quark loops interacting with a non-abelian background field in an SU(2) model of QCD.
