More on Probing Branes with Branes
A. Brandhuber, N. Itzhaki, J. Sonnenschein, S. Yankielowicz

TL;DR
This paper extends known solutions for Kaluza-Klein black holes to describe Type IIA D-brane bound states, and compares supergravity and SYM calculations, finding precise agreement in static and velocity-dependent forces.
Contribution
It generalizes the Gibbons-Wiltshire solution to include D6-D0 bound states and probes various D-brane configurations, demonstrating agreement between supergravity and SYM results.
Findings
Exact match between supergravity and SYM for static forces.
Agreement also holds for velocity-dependent ($v^2$) forces.
Validates the probe approach for diverse D-brane systems.
Abstract
We generalize the Gibbons-Wiltshire solution of four dimensional Kaluza-Klein black holes in order to describe Type IIA solutions of bound states of D6 and D0-branes. We probe the solutions with a D6-brane and a D0-brane. We also probe a system of D2+D0-branes and of a D2-brane bound to a F1-string with a D2-brane. A precise agreement between the SYM and the SUGRA calculations is found for the static force as well as for the force in all cases.
