Gauge theories on the noncommutative sphere
C. Klimcik

TL;DR
This paper formulates gauge theories on a noncommutative two-sphere, maintaining gauge and SU(2) symmetries with finite degrees of freedom, and enables coupling to chiral fermions.
Contribution
It introduces a novel formulation of gauge theories on a noncommutative sphere that preserves key symmetries and allows fermion coupling.
Findings
Finite degrees of freedom in the theory
Preservation of gauge and SU(2) symmetries
Natural coupling to chiral fermions
Abstract
Gauge theories are formulated on the noncommutative two-sphere. These theories have only finite number of degrees of freedom, nevertheless they exhibit both the gauge symmetry and the SU(2) "Poincar\'e" symmetry of the sphere. In particular, the coupling of gauge fields to chiral fermions is naturally achieved.
